Service Agreement
By engaging About Spaces for interior design services, you agree to these terms. Our services include but are not limited to: space planning, interior design, 3D visualization, project management, fit-out coordination, and interior styling.
Project Scope & Proposals
All projects begin with a detailed proposal outlining scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees. Any work outside the agreed scope will require a formal change order and additional fees. Online estimates are indicative only and subject to detailed assessment.
Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate project information and requirements
- Respond to requests for information and approvals in a timely manner
- Ensure site access for measurements, installations, and site visits
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities
- Make payments according to the agreed schedule
Payment Terms
Payment schedules are outlined in individual project proposals. Late payments may incur additional charges. We reserve the right to pause work if payments are not received as agreed.
Design Revisions
Our proposals include a specified number of design revisions. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope will be charged at our standard hourly rate.
Project Timeline
Estimated timelines are provided in good faith but may be affected by factors outside our control, including client delays, supplier issues, or unforeseen site conditions. We will communicate any significant delays promptly.
Intellectual Property
Design concepts, drawings, and documentation remain the intellectual property of About Spaces until final payment is received. Upon completion, clients receive a license to use the designs for the specified project only.
Limitation of Liability
About Spaces is not liable for delays, cost overruns, or quality issues caused by third-party contractors, suppliers, or factors beyond our control. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for our services.
Project Photography
We may photograph completed projects for our portfolio and marketing materials. Clients who prefer not to have their projects photographed should notify us in writing before project completion.
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. The client will be responsible for payment of all work completed up to the termination date, plus any non-recoverable costs incurred.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes will be resolved through the Kenyan court system.
